For those departing from the US, an
$18.00 per person Bahamian departure fee will be added to the purchase price for all fares (for Bahamians, the US departure
tax is $20.00) Rates, facilities and services subject to change without notice. Please note that economy tickets are
non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased.
Travel requirements:
US Citizens Ages 16 and Older will be required to be in possession of a valid
passport or passport card when traveling with Bahamas Express to or from the Bahamas. The ferry route is not considered
a closed loop cruise by Custom and Border Protection (CBP)
US Citizens Ages 15 and Under and Born in the US require an original state
issued birth certificate by the department of health & vital statistics or a valid non-cancelled US Passport. Copies
of Birth Certificates are not acceptable.
American Citizens Born Outside the US Ages 15 and Under require either an American valid
non-cancelled passport or an original naturalization certificate accompanied by a valid photo ID. Passport application
receipts will NOT be accepted for travel. US legal resident aliens must present their non-expired alien resident card.
(US legal alien residents that are Bahamian citizens must also present their Bahamian passport).
Canadian Citizens require either a Canadian
passport or a Canadian Citizenship ID accompanied by another valid Canadian government issued photo ID.
All Other Travelers must have
valid passports from their country of origin in conjunction with a multiple entry US visa and if necessary a Bahamian Visa
(please check with the Bahamian Consulate). Non-resident students traveling with a US visa (F1, J1 or M1) must also
be in possession of a valid SEVIS form (I20 or IAP66) for travel.
Passengers under 18 years of age require a notarized written parental consent for travel and a
photocopy of the passport of the adult accompanying with them.
Permanent Resident Passengers must carry their valid card on them at all times. Students from other
countries that are working as au pairs or similar and are here to live for a short time must bring all of their paperwork
and must hold a valid passport, I94 form and the signed paperwork which permits their entry into US to work as well as a valid
visa, all of which must be the original copies.
Students
here to attend school must bring a valid passport, I94 form and signed valid paperwork from the school, all of which must
be the originals.
Naturalization papers are not accepted
as proof of citizenship.
